Our London Focusing team hosts our new 2-year training in Focusing, Listening, and Focusing Oriented Therapy practices. A great diverse group of 30 people shared the weekend learning and experiencing together, starting from the basics and the profound practices of human presence and the unfolding bodily process .... New 2-year Focusing oriented therapy training online and in-person in London

London Focusing is planning its next Focusing and Focusing-oriented therapy certification training in the autumn of 2023. The training will be a mix of online and in-person events, culminating in The International Focusing Institute award of Certification as a Focusing therapist or Focusing professional. On Sunday, June 6, 2021, a Lifetime Achievement Award was presented at a special Awards Ceremony. hosted by the Society for Humanistic Psychology, a division of the American Psychology Association. Questioning Diagnosis

It is not new for psychiatric diagnosis to be challenged. For years, both psychologists and psychiatrists have questioned the basis and usefulness of diagnoses such as schizophrenia, bi-polar, depression etc. Now a new university study seems to suggest that the DSM (the most common diagnosis manual) is 'scientifically useless'. Interesting reading and at least it can loosen some of our assumptions about what constitutes psychological 'health'.
